It is almost summer here at Harmony Gardens and Grub. The gardens are growing thick and fast, and I have now achieved my mission of having flowers popping out, and colour in the garden, year-round.
It is now quite a rainbow… 🌈
Gardens are the perfect place to appreciate the simple pleasures. There are many simple pleasures to be grateful for - sunshine, blue skies, fresh air; the gentle hum and buzz of insects; and the beautiful array of colours from the flowers. I have planted strategically to create shade, and privacy, as well as plentiful food and shelter for the beneficial insects. It is becoming quite a peaceful haven for all sorts of life
One of my most favourite simple garden pleasures is gathering posies, as gifts and for the house.
They are so easy and quick to gather, they are full of bright, rainbow colours, and they remind me of all the abundant life that is around, just in the small space of my garden.
The other day, as I was gathering flowers, a bumblebee decided he liked my posy, so he came all the way round the garden on it with me! I love these moments of being in harmony with nature 🌻 They are good for my soul, and very good for my mental health, as well as my physical health.
